Speak Your Mind

One of his last days grampa told me about the war. He was then playing with an dancing orchestra in Ålesund, Norway. They mostly played old traditional jazz, but when the Germans invaded our country they forbid most of this music.

Grampa then gathered his band and filled up a van with as many instruments and musicians as he could. That someone would come to his home and dictate his music was unheard of. They did small concerts at roofs around town, and when the Germans came they quickly packed up and moved to a different roof with the locals cheering them on.»

As a kid this story really stuck with me. Don ́t let anyone dictate you. Follow your heart and SPEAK YOUR MIND.
